I'm Alexia Lafitau. I founded Mexikoo, a receptive agency I've been running in Mexico for over ten years, and I built Odys, the tool I made for DMCs because I am one. I write here about the receptive business, inbound travel, and where local agencies fit in a world with AI.
I do the job before I talk about it. Mexikoo means real travelers, real partners, and real problems at 11pm when a flight gets cancelled. That's what gives weight to what I write, not a view from the outside.
Odys came out of necessity. During Covid I had to let my whole team go to save the agency. We ended up two of us, writing every quote, every booking, every cancellation by hand. That's when it hit me: automate, or we don't make it. I started building Odys just for us. When business came back, we doubled revenue with the same team. Not by working more. By working differently.
Mexikoo is still my testing ground. Everything I argue for in these articles, I try on myself first.
What I write about here: the DMC and receptive business, inbound, the sales performance of local agencies, and what AI actually changes for us. Convictions, numbers, things you can apply. Never theory floating above the ground.
